About the role
We’re looking for a VP, Product who thrives in a startup environment and has a proven track record of scaling both teams and technology to support rapid growth. In this role, you’ll lead and expand our product team, bringing in top talent from your network to help us drive innovation and meet our goals. You’ll play a key role in maturing and scaling our product development capabilities, and shape the roadmap of what and how we build at BetterComp.

What you’ll do:
Strategic Roadmap Development
- Maintain a clear and customer-centric product narrative to define an outcome-based roadmap that the whole organization can rally around.
- Run disciplined discovery via interviews, win/loss, and data mining, feeding that insight directly into prioritization to solve real and valuable problems.
Team Building, Management, and Communication
- Hire, coach and inspire the product management team, modeling world-class product craft so the function scales sustainably with the business.
- Communicate the vision through storytelling and models that align everyone you interact with on where we are going and how to get there.
Operational Excellence
- Drive lean execution and portfolio governance, continuously improving the impact-vs-effort formula of how the organization delivers product and revenue growth.
- Deepen the culture of rapid experimentation and tighten delivery practices so we release sooner, learn faster, and eliminate waste.
Process & Automation
- Activate product-led growth, partnering with marketing, sales and customer success to align packaging, pricing, positioning and launch playbooks.
- Own the metrics of the customer journey through activation, expansion and retention, and optimize self-service capabilities to improve each.
What you bring:
- Leadership Experience: 10+ years in product leadership roles, with success in scaling teams at a growth-stage company.
- B2B SaaS Product Experience: Deep understanding of cloud-based SaaS and product-led growth in a B2B context.
- People Management: Strong track record of recruiting, mentoring, and retaining top talent.
- Process Orientation: Skilled in automating product delivery workflows, using metrics for continuous improvement, and building self-service frameworks.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to balance near-term deliverables with strategic technology investments, and creating alignment in business and technical objectives.
- Communication Skills: Comfortable interfacing with executives, product teams, and external stakeholders.
