About the Role
The Content Marketing Specialist will be a key hire on the marketing team helping to educate the market and build the BetterComp brand by executing on a comprehensive content strategy. This is a highly visible role with a lot of room to grow for the right person. What you bring:
- 2-4 years’ experience in creating and distributing thought leadership end educational content in a business environment or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Exceptional project management including the ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities while meeting deadlines
- Eagle eye for proofreading including exceptional grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Ability to capture and recreate individual thought leaders’ voices and align with brand guidelines
- Experience with multiple content types including blogs, ebooks/guides, case studies, video, podcasts, webinars, speaking engagements, etc.
- Knowledge of content marketing tactics for creating and capturing customer demand
- Understanding of SEO principles and track record of effective SEO content creation
- Experience with developing content calendars that align with business needs and support the entire customer journey
- Background with earned media, PR, or writing for external publication a plus
- Experience with G-Suite, Hubspot, and Canva a plus
- B2B SaaS, startup, and/or HR tech experience a plus
What you’ll do:
- Help develop our content calendar aligning topics and content types around identified gaps, customer needs, product/services, and overall business strategy
- Own content creation including blogs, case studies, guides, videos, and social posts to align with business and marketing goals
- Complete annual content audits; updated or sunset content pieces as appropriate
- Track and report on content program performance using Hubspot and LinkedIn reporting tools
- Lead social media (LinkedIn), maintaining a regular posting cadence to drive engagement with the BetterComp brand and build credibility with our audience
- Work on refreshing and developing new website copy to help drive traffic and website conversions
- Collaborate with Customer Success to effectively tell customer stories, creating case studies, building webinars and speaking submissions/presentations, and writing blog posts highlighting BetterComp’s value to our users and their companies
- Collaborate with Director of Partnerships and partners on joint content offerings including webinars, blog posts, and presentations/speaking engagements
- Other responsibilities as assigned
