About the Role:
As the Lead Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing the upkeep and repair of all campground infrastructure, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests. This includes, but is not limited to:
- General Maintenance & Repairs: Performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, painting, and landscaping.
- Preventative Maintenance: Implementing and executing a preventative maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and ensure the longevity of equipment and facilities.
- Groundskeeping: Maintaining the grounds, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and snow removal.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining and repairing various campground equipment, including vehicles, mowers, and power tools.
- Safety Inspections: Conducting regular safety inspections of facilities and equipment, identifying and addressing potential hazards.
- Inventory Management: Managing inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Vendor Management: Working with external vendors for specialized repairs or services as needed.
- Supervision & Teamwork: Potentially leading and mentoring a small team of maintenance staff. Collaborating effectively with other departments.
- Guest Interaction: Providing exceptional customer service to guests, addressing their maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
- Emergency Response: Responding to emergency maintenance situations, such as power outages or plumbing issues.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a hospitality, resort, or campground environment.
- Strong knowledge of various maintenance trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment and systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in a relevant trade (e.g., electrical, HVAC).
- Experience with pool maintenance.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
