Position Summary

The Campground General Maintenance role at Lazy Acres Beyonder Camp involves ensuring the upkeep and safety of the campground's facilities and grounds. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including general maintenance, equipment upkeep, safety checks, and guest assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• General Maintenance:

  • Mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and removing debris.
  • Cleaning and repairing restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, and other common areas.
  • Collecting and disposing of garbage and recycling.
  • Preparing facilities for winter weather (e.g., draining pipes, insulating equipment).
  • Cleaning up after winter and preparing the campground for the season.

• Equipment Maintenance:

  • Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing campground vehicles (e.g., golf carts, maintenance trucks).
  • Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing campground equipment (e.g., generators, pumps, tools).

• Safety and Security:

  • Conducting regular safety inspections of the campground.
  • Ensuring that campground gates, locks, and security systems are functioning properly.
  • Responding to emergencies (e.g., accidents, medical incidents).

• Guest Service:

  • Assisting guests with questions, requests, or problems.
  • Reporting maintenance issues to the appropriate staff.

• Additional Duties:

  • Completing seasonal tasks (e.g., preparing for holidays, special events).
  • Assisting with special projects (e.g., campground renovations, expansions).

Qualifications

• Proven experience in general maintenance or a related field
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor
• Valid driver's license
• Basic knowledge of tools and equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the hospitality industry
• Knowledge of landscaping and gardening
• Basic mechanical skills
