We are seeking an experienced Sr Software Engineer to join our AI & Advanced Analytics team. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining integration of AI including Voice Agnets into new products. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing production-grade solutions that improve healthcare accessibility and patient engagement, leveraging modern AI technologies.
What You’ll Do:
· Design, develop, and optimize AI-driven applications using Python in a serverless environment (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions).
· Leverage AWS Bedrock and agentic application development frameworks to create intelligent, scalable solutions.
· Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform to automate cloud resource provisioning and ensure system reliability.
· Work with AI engineers and voice agents, and product teams to integrate AI models into Bamboo Health’s products.
· Ensure best practices for data security, cloud compliance, and performance optimization, especially in healthcare applications.
· Stay updated on emerging AI, cloud, and automation technologies, helping shape Bamboo Health’s AI strategy.
What Success Looks Like…
In 3 months…
· Get fully onboarded with Bamboo Health’s Advanced Analytics & AI team, familiarizing yourself with internal systems, processes, and project workflows.
· Gain hands-on experience with Python, Terraform, AWS Bedrock, and agentic application development, contributing to small-scale features and bug fixes.
· Assist in developing and deploying serverless AI-driven applications, learning best practices for cloud infrastructure and automation.
· Begin collaborating with AI engineers, and product teams, understanding how AI models integrate into Bamboo Health’s products.
In 6 months…
· Take ownership of end-to-end development tasks, implementing AI-driven features and optimizing cloud applications for performance and scalability.
· Lead the design and deployment of cloud infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring best practices for security, automation, and efficiency.
· Work closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to enhance AI models and deploy them into production environments.
· Begin mentoring junior engineers, supporting code reviews, and contributing to best practices for software development.
In 12 months…
· Play a key role in defining best practices for AI integration, security, and cloud deployment strategies across the organization.
· Drive process improvements and automation, optimizing Bamboo Health’s AI-driven solutions for greater efficiency.
· Stay ahead of emerging AI and cloud technologies, influencing Bamboo Health’s AI strategy and future innovations.
What You Need:
· Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment, ensuring high-quality virtual interactions with minimal distractions
Nice to Have:
· Understanding of HIPAA considerations for voice and telecommunication workflows
· Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and tools such as Terraform
· Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control, testing, and CI/CD
