About The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Assistant Service Manager to join our Multifamily Maintenance team. This full-time, hourly position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a leadership role in maintaining the efficiency and functionality of our multifamily properties. You will play a critical role in ensuring that maintenance operations run smoothly while providing outstanding service to residents and supporting the Service Manager in day-to-day tasks.


What You'll Do

  • Assist the Service Manager in overseeing and coordinating maintenance operations for multifamily properties.
  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks to ensure resident satisfaction and safety standards.
  • Lead and support maintenance team members by providing guidance and sharing expertise.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, implementing prompt and effective solutions.
  • Ensure all equipment, tools, and systems are functioning and properly maintained.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and updates using management systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address resident concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and tools, placing orders when necessary to ensure workflow efficiency.
  • Uphold company and safety regulations during all processes and activities.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in property maintenance or a related field, preferably in multifamily housing.
  • Strong technical skills in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with an aptitude for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Leadership experience or the ability to support and collaborate with a team effectively.
  • Customer-focused attitude with exceptional communication skills.
  • Familiarity with maintenance tools, equipment, and management systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to respond to on-call emergencies, as needed.
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
