About the role


We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical FP&A Analyst to join our growing finance team. The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for assisting with financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and excellent communication abilities.


The FP&A Analyst will initially report directly to the CFO and support a variety of areas as BizzyCar continues to grow. A successful candidate will be able to manage data effectively, analyze trends, develop insights, make recommendations, and work cross-functionally to optimize our investments. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are critical.


What you'll do

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
  • Develop and maintain detailed and dynamic financial models.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis.
  • Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making (e.g., product line analysis).
  • Assist in the evaluation of potential investments and capital allocation decisions.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, investment banking, or a similar role.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Suite and financial software applications, with an aptitude for learning new systems and software (experience with tools such as Mosaic is a plus).
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of intellectual curiosity – persistently seeking to understand key drivers and root causes, identify trends and insights, and solve problems.
