Our Mission
Blackrock Neurotech is 100% focused on improving human lives through neuroscience research and technology. The passion and dedication behind this mission has nurtured a dynamic, enjoyable and fulfilling corporate environment in which learning, and growth are commonplace. We operate in an innovative field that requires our staff to meet the highest standards. Every step of the way, we encourage one another by providing continuous motivation and promoting a healthy work environment.
Community Contributions
Not only are Blackrock’s employees committed to improving lives through their work, but many also strive to improve the community by volunteering in their spare time. Our efforts vary from donating blood and feeding the hungry to volunteering at the Utah Food Bank. We also value community education —teaching science labs to children, coaching sports teams, and teaching first aid courses. We take pride in our employee’s extracurricular activities that contribute to the betterment of local communities.
In order to provide a safe and productive work environment, all offers of employment at Blackrock Neurotech are contingent upon a thorough background check. A criminal history will not automatically disqualify a candidate from an offer of employment.
We're building brain-computer interfaces at Blackrock Neurotech, and we need someone who gets excited about making the impossible possible.
What we do: Our team - BCI applications team - is creating ways for people to control computers with their thoughts. This isn't sci-fi - we're actually doing it. We're a small group of software developers, clinicians, data scientists, and UX designers working together to reinvent how humans interact with technology.
What you'll do: You'll prototype new interaction concepts at the intersection of neuroscience and computing. Your prototypes will help us figure out what works, what doesn't, and what might become the next breakthrough.
This role is half explorer, half builder. You'll need to be comfortable switching between "let's see if this crazy idea works" and "let's make this stable enough for real people to use."
What we're looking for:
Nice to have:
The reality: This isn't a typical software job. We're working on problems that don't have established solutions yet. You'll need to bring creativity, think from first principles, and be okay with throwing away prototypes that don't work. But when something does work - when someone writes an email with their thoughts - it's pretty incredible.
If you've built things people can actually use and you're ready to help create a future where we move beyond keyboards and mice, send us your work. We want to see what you've built.
