Senior Electrode R&D Engineer Brain Computer Interface (BCI) to support different R&D and other funded projects. Provide support to the Electrode team by utilizing diode and Micro-Electro-Mechanical-Systems (MEMS) based fabrication techniques in the design, fabrication, and process characterization and optimization of neural electrodes, while also supporting manufacturing by working to improve electrode/array yield through application of process control and analysis. Be involved in the manufacturing process, testing, and optimization of neural electrodes. Prepare technical reports and coordinate engineering efforts among multidisciplinary teams. Work on the procurement, management, qualification and troubleshooting of semiconductor fabrication related equipment. Perform Installation Qualification, Operation Qualification, and Performance Qualification. Conduct electrochemical testing of neural electrodes. Operate in a cleanroom environment following safety procedures.

Requires Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering or related field and background in semiconductor processing based microfabrication techniques; knowledge in the fabrication and characterization of diodes and Micro-Electro-Mechanical-Systems (MEMS); familiarity with photolithography, sputter metallization, wet etching, dry etching, and chemical vapor deposition; familiarity in inspection using techniques such as Scanning Electron Microscopy and thin film thickness measurement; familiarity with cleanroom environment and knowledge of laboratory safety procedures; knowledge of concepts of electrochemistry; knowledge of process control; knowledge and familiarity with engineering project management, planning, manpower, and budgeting to co-ordinate efforts among multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
