Sr. Accountant - Fulltime Contract

BSG is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team on a fulltime-temp contract for a 3-6 month period. This role is fully remote with hours of 9a-5p PST Monday – Friday during the project. Small preference to local candidates that could commute into our Irvine, CA office on occasion, but not a requirement. 
 
Scope 

 

The Senior Accountant position is responsible for assisting the accounting department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring transactions are accurately entered, reconciling balance sheet accounts, documenting business processes to maintain and improve internal controls, and most importantly, being someone that can help drive improvements and efficiency throughout the finance function. 

 

Key Responsibilities  

 

  • Process semi-monthly and special payroll. From input to disbursement, coordinate with outside payroll vendor and answer employee questions related to recording time and other payroll related matters 
     
  • Reconcile employee spendings on Corporate credit card to monthly statement, coding, and enter/post entries in accounting system 
     
  • Obtain proper approval, code and enter vendor invoices, keeping track of invoice due dates and process weekly check run 
     
  • Daily cash reporting, prepare/enter all cash entries and assist with weekly 13-week cash forecast 
     
  • Customer invoicing 
     
  • Process Purchase order for Outside Contractor services and fixed assets purchases 
     

Role Breakdown of Responsibility: 

 

  • Cash responsibilities, journal entries and accounts reconciliations 
     
  • Payroll processing, reporting, and reconciliation 
     
  • Accounts Payable responsibilities 
     
  • Corporate cards expenses reconciliation, recording, collect expenses supporting documents 
     
  • Customer invoicing, cash reporting, and various responsibilities as assigned 

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements: 

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, on Business Administration 

 

  • 5+ Years of Relevant Experience 

 

  • Experience with general ledger, journal entries, accounts reconciliation and accounting systems 

 

  • Proficiency in Excel and Word 

 

  • Strong detail orientation with excellent written and verbal communication skills 

 

  • Time management with multi-tasking ability

Compensation  
 

The salary range being considered for this role is $85,457 - $93,764 The specified salary range pertains to Southern California, and the actual amounts may differ based on experience, performance, and location. These salary ranges do not apply to locations outside the United States.
