Drive strategic execution and operational excellence as we scale from Series A to B and beyond
About Blitzy
Blitzy is a Cambridge, MA based Generative AI startup on a mission to automate custom software creation to unlock the next industrial revolution. We're transforming how enterprises build software—turning human ideas into production-ready applications with AI that can autonomously generate up to 80% of enterprise-grade code.
We're backed by tier 1 investors and led by founders with deep expertise in AI and enterprise software. Our platform doesn't just suggest code snippets—it builds complete, production-ready applications that enterprises can deploy immediately.
Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 plus equity
Location: 1 Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA (In-person role)
About the Role
We're looking for a Chief of Staff to serve as the strategic operating backbone of Blitzy. You'll work directly with our founders and leadership team to drive clarity, execution, and accountability across the organization. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and execution—translating vision into reality through structured thinking, data-driven decision-making, and relentless follow-through.
You'll own the company's operating rhythm, lead cross-functional strategic initiatives, and tackle the most complex, ambiguous problems that don't have clear owners. This isn't a traditional Chief of Staff role focused on calendar management—you'll be a strategic operator who builds systems, drives decisions, and accelerates our growth trajectory from Series A toward Series B and beyond.
This role is ideal for someone with a Tier-1 consulting background or portfolio operations experience who thrives on structure, excels at communication, and can navigate the controlled chaos of hypergrowth.
What Success Looks Like
- You establish and run the company's operating rhythm—leadership meetings, quarterly planning, goal tracking, and cross-team alignment run like clockwork
- You create visibility into the business through dashboards and metrics that drive better, faster decisions
- You eliminate friction between teams, ensuring GTM and Engineering are coordinated with clear reporting and workstreams
- You execute high-stakes strategic projects—market analysis, pricing strategy, investor materials, operational improvements—at both high quality and high speed
- You multiply leadership effectiveness by managing cross-functional complexity and removing blockers
- You make the organization more predictable, data-driven, and scalable as we grow
- You become the go-to person for "how do we actually get this done?" across the company

Required Experience
- 3-5 years at a Tier-1 consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) or 2-4 years in late-stage VC/PE portfolio operations, or equivalent experience in strategy/operations at a high-growth tech startup
