Bloom + Brighten Kids Dentistry in Tualatin, OR is hiring a Full-Time Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our pediatric dental team. If you are a skilled Dental Assistant with EFDA certification who enjoys working with children and creating positive patient experiences, we would love to meet you!

Responsibilities

As an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional pediatric dental care.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting the dentist during pediatric dental procedures
• Performing expanded function duties as allowed by Oregon regulations
• Preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments
• Taking dental radiographs (RHS certification required)
• Supporting children and families to create a positive dental experience
• Maintaining accurate patient records in practice management software
• Collaborating with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow
• Following OSHA, CDC, and ADA safety guidelines
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification required
• RHS certification required
• 1–3 years of dental assisting experience OR graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant program
• BLS/CPR certification (recertification covered by employer)
• Experience with Open Dental software is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, patient-focused attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced pediatric dental environment
• Team-oriented with a positive and professional mindset
