Position Summary

The Senior Capture Manager is entrusted with the responsibility of owning company-assigned federal agency pursuits. This position involves a strategic focus on nurturing and expanding our footprint within these agencies while ensuring alignment with our overarching business objectives and compliance with federal strategy directives. The role will be responsible for expanding the Bodwé business in both scope and agency expansion across civilian and DoD markets.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Advanced Use of Bid-Matching and CRM Tools:

  • Masterfully utilize GovWin and HigherGov for in-depth research, tracking, and analysis of upcoming civilian contract opportunities, ensuring a strategic approach to bid selection.
  • Leverage CRM to manage client interactions, capture progress, and track critical milestones, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurately reflects the status of each opportunity.
  • Use data analytics from these tools to identify trends, forecast opportunities, and refine capture strategies.

Strategic Agency Engagement:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive capture plans for assigned agencies, including market analysis, opportunity identification, and competitive assessments.
  • Engage in strategic planning sessions to align capture activities with the broader goals of Bodwé Federal Support Services.

Targeted Opportunity Identification:

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis to identify potential contract opportunities.
  • Assess the feasibility and alignment of these opportunities with Bodwé's capabilities and strategic direction.
  • Identify strategies and tactics to expand both scope and agency penetration across market sectors.

KPI Achievement and Revenue Generation:

  • Implement effective strategies to achieve and surpass defined revenue targets each year in awarded task orders.
  • Monitor and report on progress against KPIs, adapting strategies as necessary to ensure goals are met.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to inform decision-making and improve capture success rates.

Relationship Building and Stakeholder Management:

  • Foster and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key personnel in target agencies, including decision-makers and influencers.
  • Cultivate and manage sub and vendor relationships
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a unified approach in external interactions and presentations.
  • Organize and participate in industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance Bodwé's visibility and network within the federal sector.

Collaboration and Internal Alignment:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business development, proposal management, and technical experts, to develop compelling and competitive proposals.
  • Facilitate regular internal meetings to align capture activities with overall business strategy and to share best practices.
  • Ensure consistent communication and reporting to leadership and stakeholders on capture status, challenges, and opportunities.

Professional Development and Team Contribution:

  • Engage in continuous learning and development to stay abreast of industry trends, changes in federal procurement, and emerging technologies.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of Bodwé's capture management processes and tools.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and collaborative success.

Qualifications

Required Education, Licensure, or Certifications:

  • Post secondary education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, organizational development, marketing, economic development, or another related field.

 Preferred Education, Licensure, or Certifications:

  • Master’s degree in public administration, business administration, or another related field.
  • Credential/certification from The Association of Proposal Management Professionals. 

Required Background and Experience:

  • Proven experience in capture management or a related field within the federal contracting sector.
  • Proven win record and ability to manage a diverse book of business.
  • Strong understanding of the federal procurement process and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and a robust professional network within civilian agencies.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

 Required Technical Skills:

  • Proficient experience with: 
    1. GovWin or other federal forecasting tools
    2. Microsoft Office Suite
    3. Microsoft Teams and App Ecosystem
    4. Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign)
    5. Project management tools and software

Working Environment

This is a 100% remote position that will require some (≤ 25%) travel to headquarters, client sites, or conferences. 

 

Physical Demands

  • Sitting/Standing: This role is generally sedentary performing sitting work utilizing technological office equipment including a laptop, mouse, keyboard, computer monitors, telephones, and scanners, copiers, and fax machines. 
  • Walking: This role requires the ability to move about inside the office to access technological equipment required for the role. 
  • Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: This role may require stooping to reload printer trays with print paper. 
  • Using Hands/Fingers: This role constantly operates technological office equipment such as laptop, mouse, keyboard, computer monitors, telephones, and scanners, copiers, and fax machines.
  • Talking/Hearing: This role requires constant communication with others in the organization to exchange information, review information, and make decisions about information. 
  • Seeing: This role requires the ability to see, view, and distinguish all aspects of construction.
  • Carrying/Lifting: This role requires the ability to lift up to 15lbs to transport technological office equipment to and from various workspaces.
