About the role

  • A Bohme Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, driving sales, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role helps lead, coach, and develop the team while ensuring the store meets performance, merchandising, and operational standards. Responsibilities include supervising staff, assisting with scheduling, handling customer escalations, managing inventory, and supporting opening and closing procedures. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong communication skills who can motivate the team, solve problems quickly, and maintain a positive, customer-focused environment.

What you'll do

  • A Retail Assistant Manager helps run the store and supports the Store Manager in leading the team. Their key responsibilities typically include:
  • Supervising and coaching staff to ensure great customer service and strong sales performance.
  • Assisting with scheduling, shift coverage, and coordinating daily tasks.
  • Handling customer issues or escalations to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Overseeing store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Managing inventory, restocking, receiving shipments, and maintaining product displays.
  • Helping meet sales goals by analyzing performance and motivating the team.
  • Ensuring store standards are met—cleanliness, merchandising, and organization.
  • Recruiting top talent that not only elevates a team, but drives for better results.
  • Supporting training for new employees and ongoing staff development.

Qualifications

  •  Minimum high school education or equivalent 
  • At least one-year retail management experience or equivalent education 
  • Ability to count and perform retail mathematical equations 
  • Excellent organization, verbal and written skills
  • Ability to work POS, and other store computer applications
