Bookmans Entertainment Exchange has been serving Arizona communities for nearly 50 years. Originally a used bookstore, Bookmans has expanded to include various forms of media such as books, video games, music and movies as well as musical instruments, housewares, and collectibles. We buy, sell, and trade with our customers to acquire the majority of our inventory, proudly following a sustainable business model that keeps items out of landfills and gives them new life. Additionally, Bookmans speaks out against censorship and promotes freedom of expression at every turn.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for contributing toward the regular and efficient circulation of musical instrument and adjacent merchandise in the store (primarily Guitars, Keyboards, Orchestral Instruments and Sheet Music) by effectively purchasing, pricing, repair, and stocking. All duties are performed with a commitment to actively serving customers.
Job Requirements:
• Superior Knowledge in Musical Instruments and Music Hardware: buying, processing and selling such products
• Have an acceptable level of proficiency in instrument maintenance (stringed instruments and orchestral instruments)
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Motivation to serve our customers
• Maintain knowledge in the areas of Music and Musical Gear
• Evaluate merchandise for purchase at the incoming counter
• Explain and negotiate (as necessary) deals with customers
• Ability to use reference materials
• Ability to merchandise floor for best possible presentation
• Ability to adapt to a flexible working schedule
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
This position is Full-time (minimum of 32 hours per week) and Must have Open Availability on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and be able to work 5 shifts per week.
