Mission: Essence of the Job
We’re looking for a Growth Engineer to own and scale the systems, tracking, and frontend integrations that power BoomPop’s product-led and performance marketing engine. You’ll ensure our tools and platform are deeply connected, data-rich, and primed for fast experimentation across the funnel. You’ll be responsible for implementing tracking, enabling PQL detection, triggering lifecycle campaigns, and activating in-product experiences—all based on user behavior. You thrive at the intersection of Growth, Marketing, and Product, and you implement ideas that drive measurable results.
You’ll sit at the center of our Growth, Marketing, and Product teams, ensuring we can move fast, experiment often, and scale what works. If you love connecting tools, shipping growth surfaces, and obsessing over what makes users convert, this is your role. You will sit on the Engineering team and be a close partner to the Senior Growth Product Manager and the Growth team as a whole. You will report to the Manager, Engineering.
Top 3 Priorities
- Implement and maintain clean, reliable event tracking across the user journey, from first touch to expansion.
- Enable product-triggered campaigns and PQL workflows through event-based triggers, front-end integrations, and user targeting logic.
- Build and maintain in-product and in-website marketing surfaces (banners, promos, CTAs) that drive engagement, upgrades, and activation.
Within 30 days:
- Audit all tracking, tags, and tools across web and app. Implement missing events and fix broken flows.
- Ship at least one campaign trigger tied to product behavior (e.g., onboarding, upsell, churn risk).
- Partner with Marketing to clean up audience syncs and lifecycle campaign logic.
- Launch or improve one in-product messaging surface (e.g., upgrade CTA, PQL alert, referral nudge).
Within 60 days:
- Set up a system for validating tracking (naming conventions, QA processes, attribution checkpoints).
- Improve marketing campaign performance through better UTM tracking, targeting, and engagement triggers.
- Fully own the frontend analytics and campaign stack across product and marketing.
Within 90 days:
- Power multiple concurrent experiments using clean data, flexible segmentation, and fast deployment of front-end tests or components.
- Be the go-to owner for anything related to MarTech, user behavior data, or lifecycle system integration.

What you'll do
- Own the front-end and client-side tracking infrastructure across web and product experiences using tools like PostHog, GA4, Webflow, Squarespace, and Leadpages.
- Implement and QA event tracking, user ID mapping, and conversion goals to support accurate attribution and experimentation.
- Maintain and enhance our MarTech stack (HubSpot, Default, ad platforms, analytics tools), ensuring high-quality data flow and system connectivity.
- Build campaign surfaces (e.g. banners, modals, tooltips, referral prompts) and implement A/B test variants.
- Partner with Growth Marketing to enable lifecycle campaigns triggered by product usage or user traits.
- Develop dynamic front-end components that support personalization, PQL handoffs, or targeted onboarding steps.
- Ensure our marketing tools and front-end surfaces support a hybrid growth model (PLG, sales-assisted, and sales-led).
- Set up, test, and optimize tracking pixels, UTMs, and in-product analytics experiments to support paid campaigns and funnel measurement.
- Serve as the technical lead for lifecycle experimentation, conversion optimization, and event-based campaigns.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in a frontend engineering, MarTech, or growth role in a fast-paced B2B or PLG startup.
- Strong JavaScript (React) skills and experience integrating third-party SDKs and APIs (analytics, marketing, personalization).
- Experience with product analytics (PostHog, GA4), and CRMs/marketing tools (HubSpot) and CMSs (Squarespace, Webflow)
- Proven ability to implement and scale tracking, campaign triggers, and growth surfaces inside web apps.of

Occasional Travel: Connecting is in our DNA, please note that we anticipate roughly 6-8 nights of travel per quarter for this role.
Total Compensation Package; Including Benefits and Stock:
- Base: $120,000 - $185,000 a year; Depending on Experience and Qualifications
- Medical, vision, dental, life: $10,000 - $16,000 a year; Depending on Individual or Family Plan
