Booster Juice has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, passionate, and experienced National Director of Operations to drive operational excellence of Booster Juice stores across Canada (from the West to the East coast).


This full-time in-person position is based out of our corporate office in Edmonton, AB.


Today, Booster juice has expanded to over 450 locations across Canada; thanks to our accelerating growth, you will be part of a dynamic, vibrant and innovative team!


What you'll do


Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the National Director of Operations plays a pivotal role in driving the success of our retail locations nationwide. You’ll spearhead operational performance, ensuring best practices are implemented across the board. Working closely with key departments—including Marketing, Store Development, Finance, People & Culture, IT, Franchise Development, and Supply Chain—you’ll align operations with our company’s vision.


You won’t be alone on this journey! You’ll collaborate with our Directors of Operations in Western and Eastern Canada, setting the stage for innovation while maintaining brand integrity. Partnering with Franchise Partners, you’ll ensure customers enjoy an outstanding store experience every time.


As the leader of our Operations team, you’ll oversee an exceptional group, including Directors of Operations, a National Training Manager, and Franchise Business Consultants (FBCs). Plus, you’ll work hand-in-hand with our Purchasing Manager to balance cost efficiency with top-tier product quality.


We’re looking for a proven leader and strategic thinker—someone who makes insightful, data-driven decisions, enhances franchisee profitability, and drives company growth. This role requires an innovator who can empower teams, execute winning strategies, and maximize sales-building tools in collaboration with our National Marketing Director.


Your Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute national strategies to enhance efficiency, sales, and consistency across all stores.
  • Establish and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure seamless operations, product excellence, and first-class customer service.
  • Analyze performance metrics—sales, labor, food costs, profitability—to make smart, data-driven decisions.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to bring promotions to life at the store level.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Inspire and develop a high-performing team of district managers and operational leaders.
  • Work with People & Culture to create talent development programs, succession planning, and leadership training.
  • Foster a fun, engaging, and high-energy workplace that motivates employees.
  • Uphold a leadership approach that is both firm and fair, ensuring accountability and performance.

Financial Performance & Cost Management

  • Drive profitability through effective budget management and cost-efficient strategies.
  • Collaborate with Finance to track financial performance and optimize operational costs.
  • Oversee profit and loss (P&L) reports and corporate store profitability.
  • Work with the Purchasing Manager to develop cost-effective product solutions without compromising quality.

Franchise & Corporate Store Management

  • Ensure consistency in operations across corporate and franchise locations.
  • Build strong partnerships with franchisees, offering guidance and support to maximize their success.
  • Monitor and improve franchisee performance metrics, addressing challenges with proactive action plans.
  • Utilize sales-building tools to boost revenue and drive store success.

Customer Experience & Brand Integrity

  • Elevate the customer experience with outstanding service programs and proactive feedback management.
  • Align operational efforts with brand campaigns, promotions, and loyalty programs.
  • Protect the integrity of our brand, ensuring all locations meet our high standards.

Supply Chain & Vendor Relations

  • Optimize inventory management, supplier partnerships, and product availability.
  • Identify ways to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and streamline distribution.
  • Ensure all locations comply with food safety and industry regulations.

Technology & Innovation

  • Leverage digital apps and cutting-edge technology to enhance the food service experience.
  • Implement innovative solutions that improve operational efficiencies.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, leading the charge in operational excellence.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations, labor laws, and health & safety standards.
  • Implement risk management strategies to protect employees, customers, and business continuity.
  • Enforce security measures to safeguard company assets and personnel.

What You Bring to the Table

  • A degree in Business, Operations, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in food service operations.
  • Previous experience in franchising is a bonus.
  • A track record of building, mentoring, and managing diverse teams across multiple locations.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • A leadership style that is firm yet inspiring, fostering a performance-driven team culture.
  • Strong business acumen, including P&L oversight and corporate store profitability experience.
  • A passion for healthy living and leading by example.
  • High energy, adaptability, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • A solid understanding of digital applications and how food service can embrace new technologies.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
