About the role

• As a key member of our Accounting and Finance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. Your expertise will help maintain accuracy, efficiency, and strong relationships with vendors and customers.

What you'll do

• Master Full-Cycle AP & AR Functions: Take ownership of end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes, driving accuracy and timeliness.
• Verify & Process with Precision: Review, sort, and validate various accounting documents, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Streamline Payments: Secure proper approvals and process payment documents in our accounting system, issuing vendor payments via cheque, EFT, and wire with precision.
• Maintain Client Relationships: Accurately process customer orders and invoices promptly, maintaining trust and transparency.
• Reconcile with Excellence: Ensure payments are correctly accounted for and reconcile receivables, keeping accounts and balances in perfect order.
• Support Operations: Organize import documents and foster effective communication with vendors to ensure seamless workflows.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring

• Education & Expertise: A post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance, paired with 2+ years of hands-on experience in accounts payable and receivable.
• Tech-Savvy & Detail-Oriented: Strong data entry skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with Accpac is a plus!
• Meticulous & Organized: A sharp eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with ease.
• Self-Driven & Collaborative: Exceptional communication skills to work independently and seamlessly collaborate with the team.
