This full-time in-person position is based out of our head office in Mississauga, ON

About the role

  • As part of our superstar Store Development team, you'll work closely with our Store Development Manager to support all aspects of tenant fit-outs for new stores and renovations, primarily in Ontario and Eastern Canada. This role involves coordinating store design, managing third-party consultants and suppliers, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Travel to project locations is required approximately 20% of the time.

What you'll do

  • Store Design Coordination: Manage third-party consultants and suppliers to ensure exceptional store design.
  • Landlord Communication: Liaise with landlords to meet specific project requirements.
  • Timeline and Budget Management: Work within strict timelines and budgets, meeting deadlines with ease.
  • Multi-Project Coordination: Prioritize and organize details while effectively handling multiple projects.
  • Project Scheduling: Develop and review project schedule status and reports.
  • Direct Project Responsibility:
    • Gather all project information, including schedules, lease terms, existing conditions, assignments, and tasks.
    • Coordinate site-specific design documents, submittals, and building permits.
    • Collaborate with Project Managers, Designers, and Engineers to complete drawings and supporting documents.
    • Prepare and issue tender packages to contractors and subtrades.
    • Procure trades, materials, and equipment.
    • Conduct site visits for project preparation, monitoring, or transition.
    • Communicate with and support Franchisees through the construction process.
    • Work with various departments to expedite and coordinate projects.
    • Coordinate work among trades, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
    • Monitor, modify, and communicate opening schedules.
  • Store Openings: Support the transition of new store openings from General Contractor (GC) to Operations.
  • Project Closeout: Follow up and complete deficiency reports, store setup, and project closeout documentation.

  • Experience: 2+ years in construction as a Project Coordinator.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate CAD competency is an asset but not required.
  • Education: Completed post-secondary education.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel, Word, etc.), and other software.

Additional Requisites

  • Transportation: Reliable vehicle and full class 5 driver's license required.
