Bound

UI/UX Designer

About Bound

We believe an athletic director's job is one of the most critical in a community: to shape the lives and experiences of student-athletes. But as we listened, we learned that with dwindling budgets and growing responsibilities, they’ve had no choice but to spend more time managing logistics than leading their teams and programs. After countless conversations, we gained a deep understanding of their challenges, from handling transactions to managing schedules and tracking results.

This insight was the catalyst for Bound. We created an all-in-one platform to give ADs back their time. With our OneSchedule Technology at its core, our platform integrates essential tools like Activity Registration, Tickets and Passes, and 20+ additional solutions. Today, Bound empowers schools across the country to manage every aspect of their athletics and activities, all within a single, unified solution.

We're not just a software company; we are a team made up of former athletic directors, administrators, coaches, parents, and fans. We all share one core belief: in the power of youth sports and activities to positively impact communities and the people who live in them.

About the Role

We’re hiring a UI/UX Designer to help design intuitive, user-friendly experiences across Bound’s web platform and mobile app. You’ll work alongside product managers and engineers to turn user needs into clean, functional designs — from early concepts to production-ready assets. This is a great opportunity for a designer who’s eager to grow, take ownership of features, and make a tangible impact on a product used by schools across the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design user interfaces for new features and enhancements across web and mobile
  • Create wireframes, mockups, user flows, and interactive prototypes
  • Continue to transform and innovate around the design process with AI at the core.
  • Participate in user research and usability testing to validate design decisions
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering throughout the development lifecycle
  • Contribute to and help evolve Bound’s design system and component library
  • Incorporate feedback from users, stakeholders, and data to iterate on designs
  • Stay current on design trends, accessibility standards, and mobile best practices

Required Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in UI/UX design, ideally for web and mobile products
  • AI-first mindset — you’re comfortable working with AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini to speed up ideation, generate design variations, and enhance your creative process
  • A portfolio that shows strong visual design skills, clear thinking, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Figma (or similar design tools)
  • Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and platform-specific design patterns (iOS, Android, web)
  • Comfort working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills — you can present your work and take constructive feedback in stride
  • Familiarity with agile workflows is a plus
  • Bonus: experience designing for education, sports, or community-oriented products
