Bound

Senior UI/UX Designer

About Bound

We believe an athletic director's job is one of the most critical in a community: to shape the lives and experiences of student-athletes. But as we listened, we learned that with dwindling budgets and growing responsibilities, they’ve had no choice but to spend more time managing logistics than leading their teams and programs. After countless conversations, we gained a deep understanding of their challenges, from handling transactions to managing schedules and tracking results.

This insight was the catalyst for Bound. We created an all-in-one platform to give ADs back their time. With our OneSchedule Technology at its core, our platform integrates essential tools like Activity Registration, Tickets and Passes, and 20+ additional solutions. Today, Bound empowers schools across the country to manage every aspect of their athletics and activities, all within a single, unified solution.

We're not just a software company; we are a team made up of former athletic directors, administrators, coaches, parents, and fans. We all share one core belief: in the power of youth sports and activities to positively impact communities and the people who live in them.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to lead the design of experiences that serve athletic directors, coaches, parents, and student-athletes. You’ll own the end-to-end design process — from discovery and research through high-fidelity prototypes and handoff — across our web platform and mobile app. This is a high-impact role where your work directly shapes how thousands of schools manage their sports programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of new features and improvements across Bound’s web and mobile products
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to inform design decisions
  • Create wireframes, user flows, interaction models, and high-fidelity prototypes
  • Lead innovation efforts to continue the transformation of the design process, with AI at the core.
  • Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to define requirements and ensure design intent carries through to implementation
  • Establish and maintain a scalable design system with reusable components and patterns
  • Mentor junior designers, providing feedback and raising the overall quality bar
  • Advocate for the user across the organization, bringing data and insights to product discussions
  • Contribute to design strategy and help shape the product roadmap from a UX perspective

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design for web and mobile products (SaaS or B2B2C preferred)
  • AI-first mindset — you actively use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) to accelerate your design workflow, from research synthesis to rapid prototyping, and you’re excited to push the boundaries of AI-assisted design
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design, including research, ideation, and polished visual work
  • Proficiency with modern design tools (Figma preferred)
  • Experience building and maintaining design systems
  • Ability to translate complex workflows into intuitive, accessible interfaces
  • Excellent communication skills — you can articulate design rationale to engineers, PMs, and executives
  • Experience working in an agile development environment
  • A genuine interest in school activities, youth sports, or community-focused technology is a plus
