Position Overview:

Bowery Valuation is seeking a People Operations Assistant to play an important role in supporting our growing team, fostering our vibrant company culture, and enhancing the overall employee experience. The ideal candidate is an advanced communicator, highly organized, and proactive in addressing team needs. They are resourceful, adaptable, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. With a passion for collaboration, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a desire to help others, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact. This position will be based in our SoHo office, requiring on-site presence five days a week.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to new team members, helping them navigate company processes, resources, and tools to ensure a smooth integration into the company.
  • Assist in sourcing and matching candidates to roles, offering guidance and assistance throughout the recruitment process (e.g., candidate scheduling).
  • Prepare, file, and manage licensing and compliance documents.
  • Coordinate with service providers and vendors.
  • Address employee requests and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Promote and enhance office culture by organizing events, outings, and team-building activities.
  • Provide administrative support to the operations and the executive team as needed.
  • Manage errands and ad-hoc tasks to support operational efficiency.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and building management for issues related to parking, access cards, facility updates, and other office matters.
  • Maintain and organize departmental files, oversee office supply orders, and manage indirect purchasing needs.
  • Identify and propose continuous improvement initiatives for site-level operations.
  • Oversee all aspects of office operations, ensuring amenities are well-maintained and the space remains tidy and welcoming for employees and visitors.
  • Handle incoming mail by opening, date-stamping, and scanning documents as necessary.

Job Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in G-Suite, Adobe, Microsoft Office, CRMs, and other organizational tools.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly, prioritize tasks effectively, and excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to address challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering on deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to completing tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Resilience and flexibility to pivot and adapt to changes in a high-energy environment.
