
POSITION SUMMARY
As the Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for completing/facilitating all financial activities of the site. This requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to our leadership team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Develop and maintain financial forecasting models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Manage the accounts payable process, confirm accuracy, ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Collaborate with corporate team on general accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close processes.
• Daily Cash, Revenue Cycle, and census reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and be familiar with GAAP standards.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
• Ability to communicate, solve problems, and work effectively with the revenue cycle team to resolve claim errors/issues.
• Ability to analyze and identify trends and present and prepare reports, as necessary.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Collaborate with corporate team on general accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close processes.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
•Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
•Health care accounting experience is strongly preferred.
•Knowledge of in-network and out-of-network insurance billing andbehavioral health is a plus.
•Onsite, five days/week.
•Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
•Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
•Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
•Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks online, Microsoft Excel, and all MicrosoftOffice applications.
•Ability to work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data & informationwhile maintaining confidentiality.
•Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously withininflexible time frames. Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes.
