The Role
As a Brand and Visual Designer at Brightscout, your role is pivotal in developing and executing brand identities and visual narratives that not only captivate and engage audiences but also position our clients distinctively in the marketplace. This multifaceted role blends creative prowess with strategic insight and project management skills, requiring the ability to execute comprehensive branding and visual initiatives from research and strategy development to visual design, guideline documentation, and the creation of compelling visuals for diverse projects such as website design, mobile app aesthetics, and digital branding.
Responsibilities
- Capable of shifting between different visual aesthetics while maintaining consistency and high design quality across diverse projects.
- Conducts in-depth research on business plans, offerings, audiences, market opportunities, and competitive dynamics to inform brand strategy and design direction.
- Designs high-quality, compelling visuals across digital mediums, enhancing storytelling and strengthening brand presence.
- Creates immersive and impactful brand experiences by developing strong concepts and strategies that align with the visual execution and reinforce brand identity.
- Transforms abstract ideas into clear, compelling visuals that effectively communicate brand vision and marketing objectives.
- Keeps up with industry trends, continuously refining techniques and integrating new tools to maintain leading-edge visual execution.
- Ensures pixel-perfect precision, maintaining high-quality execution and consistency across all design deliverables.
- Expertly manages typography, grid systems, use of space, and composition to create structured, balanced, and visually engaging layouts.
- Works closely with PMs, Design Leads, and cross-functional teams, clearly articulating design choices and integrating feedback effectively.
- Takes full ownership of projects, independently managing tasks while aligning with PMs and Design Leads to ensure seamless execution.
- Actively participates in design critiques, giving and receiving constructive feedback to refine and elevate design outcomes.
Requirements
- +5 years of experience in brand design, with a solid track record in strategic brand development and visual design.
- Showcase a robust portfolio with a broad spectrum of digital design work, highlighting illustrations for web & mobile, and branding projects.
- Expertise in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Exceptional communication skills, adept at leading workshops, presenting concepts, and collaborating with clients and internal teams.
- A collaborative and innovative spirit, eager to contribute to a team that values creativity, quality, and strategic design.
