When combined with precision psychiatry and leading-edge therapeutic techniques, we’re able to improve outcomes for those with mild-to-severe clinical depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders.

We take an action-oriented, purposeful approach with everything we do and seek out team members who value collaboration and thoughtful prioritization. As a result, our organization is looking for the brightest and most innovative talent in the industry. We can promise you that, as a member of the Brightside team, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate alongside smart and driven people while growing your professional skills.

We are looking for an experienced RCM Operations Associate to support Brightside’s RCM function. The RCM Operations Associate will partner closely with the Director of RCM to drive measurable improvements across the revenue cycle. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that is ideal for an experienced RCM professional with medical billing expertise who thrives on solving problems, bulk actioning claims, and using data to improve performance. This role will leverage deep system expertise and operational insight to reduce avoidable denials, accelerate claim resolution, and optimize workflows. While cross-functional collaboration and process improvement are integral to the work, the primary focus for the first several months will be heads-down execution to address the highest-impact opportunities in the revenue cycle.

What you’ll be doing as RCM Operations Associate:

  • Bulk actioning claims and performing root-cause analysis on high-volume denials, rejections, and delays.
  • Analyzing billing and claims data to identify trends, systemic issues, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Leveraging our external billing system to resolve priority issues quickly and optimize software capabilities.
  • Building, refining, and documenting billing and RCM SOPs to standardize workflows and reduce preventable rework, and increase efficiency.
  • Collaborating with the Director of RCM to prioritize the highest-impact billing and claims work.
  • Utilizing system tools and functionality to streamline claim submission, follow-up, and resolution processes.
  • Offering guidance on best practices and recommending process changes to improve billing efficiency and outcomes.
  • Continuously identifying ways to streamline billing operations and maximize revenue capture.
  • Developing and leading claims projects, leveraging team resources and providing training to team members to support ongoing claims work.
  • Supporting ad hoc initiatives such as new service line launches, contract changes, or system enhancements — secondary to the primary focus of billing and claims execution.

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of progressive experience in revenue cycle operations, healthcare operations, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with mental health and telehealth industry practices, including common billing challenges and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, with hands-on involvement in billing, claims, and denial management.
  • Deep knowledge of medical billing workflows, payer requirements, and revenue cycle operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, perform root-cause analysis, and implement process improvements.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized, with excellent prioritization skills and a focus on execution.
  • Clear and effective communicator, skilled at turning complex information into actionable insights for others.
  • Track record of contributing to or developing successful revenue cycle strategies that improve key performance metrics.

Benefits:

  • A competitive salary
  • Fully paid for comprehensive health care (medical, dental, vision)
  • Pet Insurance
  • Life Insurance & Short / Long Term Disability
  • 401k Plan
  • Unlimited PTO and sick leave
  • Parental Leave
  • Work remotely and whatever schedule works best for you
  • Additional memberships and perks

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise. If you have questions on compensation bands, please ask your recruiter.
