We are looking for a technically strong Accounting Manager to manage financial functions and lead the accounting team. This role will provide and interpret financial reports and updates to senior management. They’ll also be tasked with assisting in developing and implementing financial controls. As the company continues to grow, the accounting manager will be tasked with aiding with budgets, benchmarks, and reporting standards. This position will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the accounting staff, as well as have a role in payroll support. So your experience in developing teams and welcoming feedback is valuable here.
What you’ll be doing as Accounting Manager:
Leverage your experience and education in maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation.
You’ll be responsible for all daily accounting tasks, you will perform financial transactions and post them in the general ledger, with strong attention to detail. You will also carry out relevant administrative and payroll duties as needed.
You will be assisting the Controller as needed and respond to information requests by management and for auditing purposes.
To be successful as an Accounting Manager, you should be able to accurately maintain a general ledger and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for your staff.
Serve an integral role in the evolution of our Financial and Administrative staff
Requirements:
Manage all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, and revenue recognition.
Assist with managing the financial technology system solutions.
Continuously improve the accounting operations, controls, and financial reporting processes.
Manage and execute accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, and the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Hands-on partner to the controller and CFO when needed for business planning, financial forecasting, budgets, and management reporting activities.
Assist in financial analysis, forecasting, risk, and budget management to ensure maximum efficient use of the company's financial resources.
Oversee and administer the year-end closing process and prepares the compilation of fiscal year financial statements and accompanying schedules for tax accountants, auditors and investors.
Act as a liaison with auditors to provide them with materials necessary to complete their audit.
Ensure all federal and state tax/compliance filings are complete, accurate and are filed in a timely basis.
Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to accounting and finance team members.
