The Role

Whether you’re a Bitcoin enthusiast, a newcomer wanting to learn, an industry professional seeking to deploy capital and network, or a developer working to collaborate at a startup or an open-source project, our events provide a Bitcoin experience tailored for everyone.

Bitcoin Magazine is seeking a passionate and detail-driven Junior News Writer to join our editorial team. This position will contribute breaking news articles and timely Bitcoin-focused content for a growing global audience. The ideal candidate has strong writing fundamentals, a curiosity for financial and economic news, and—most importantly—a self-starter mindset. Once onboarded, we expect this individual to proactively identify what needs to be covered and take action without waiting for assignments. Preference will be given to candidates who reside in Nashville and are able to work from our headquarters.

You’ll Be Doing

• Write and publish daily news articles focused on Bitcoin markets, policy, technology, mining, and adoption
• Monitor press wires, news feeds, Twitter, and other sources to identify relevant, breaking stories
• Proactively pitch and pursue timely article ideas with minimal handholding
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and quality in all published content
• Adapt reporting tone and structure for a mature, investor-focused Bitcoin readership
• Source appropriate media (charts, tweets, embeds, images) to complement articles
• Learn and apply SEO best practices to headlines, metadata, and formatting
• Occasionally assist with research, data gathering, or supporting feature-length content

We're Looking For

• A self-starter who can recognize newsworthy developments and move quickly to cover them
• Strong command of grammar, AP style, and journalistic writing standards
• Curiosity and interest in Bitcoin, macroeconomics, and financial markets
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Basic familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and editorial workflows
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Bonus: Previous experience in journalism, financial reporting, or Bitcoin content
• Bonus: Based in or willing to relocate to Nashville, TN for on-site work at HQ
