Marketing and Media Ops Associate

Button is building the future of the commerce powered internet — enabling performance marketing and monetization at scale across marketplaces, brands, and creators. We’re creating products that unlock new value at the intersection of discovery, engagement, and conversion. Button’s Mission is to empower the companies shaping the creator and affiliate economy - fueling mobile growth with innovation and new paths to monetization.  Our vision is an internet where all marketing is performance-based, everyone wins, and our innovation in the creator and affiliate economy lays the foundation for a new era of growth.

Button operates a marketplace that connects brands and retailers with publisher environments through marketing campaigns. This role will be responsible for ensuring that these campaigns are run successfully and smoothly.

As our Marketing and Media Ops Associate, you will own the operational layer that sits between what our commercial team sells and what our publishers deliver. You will manage campaigns from setup to reconciliation, keep all parties informed, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

This position is based out of Button's NYC Hub, with Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays spent in-office.

AS A MARKETING AND MEDIA OPS ASSOCIATE, YOU WILL:

  • Manage end-to-end campaign operations for flat fee marketing deals, from initial setup and trafficking through final delivery and reconciliation
  • Coordinate placements, timing, and volume across brand, retailer, and publisher partners to ensure campaigns launch correctly and run on schedule
  • Monitor campaign pacing and flag issues early, working cross-functionally to resolve them before they impact delivery
  • Build and maintain campaign reports for brand and marketer partners, giving them accurate, timely visibility into campaign activity
  • Own financial reconciliation for publisher partners, tracking budgets, confirming delivery, and ensuring payouts are accurate
  • Maintain organized records in Salesforce and internal ops tools so campaign data is always current and accessible
  • Free up commercial team capacity by handling operational requests that would otherwise fall on account managers
  • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline recurring workflows as our campaign volume grows

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Accuracy in this role has real commercial consequences
  • Proactive communicator who surfaces issues before they become problems for partners or the commercial team
  • Comfortable managing multiple live campaigns simultaneously without dropping the ball
  • A practical problem-solver who can work around obstacles without waiting to be told how
  • Collaborative across teams. This role touches commercial, publisher, and internal ops, and trust on all sides matters
  • Comfortable in an environment where some processes are still being built, and eager to help build them

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1+ years of experience in ad operations, campaign operations, media agency operations, or publisher operations
  • Familiarity with digital media campaign fundamentals: placements, trafficking, pacing, and reporting
  • Strong spreadsheet skills and comfort working with and organizing data
  • Experience working in Salesforce or a similar CRM or operational tool
  • Clear written communication skills. You will be an operational point of contact for external partners

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience on both the buy side and sell side of digital media
  • Familiarity with affiliate marketing, retail media, or performance-based campaigns
  • Exposure to financial reconciliation or billing processes in a media or agency context
  • Experience building or improving reporting templates or operational workflows
