About the Role

Buxton is seeking a skilled and service-oriented Service Desk Administrator to support the systems and tools that keep our teams running. This role is central to delivering responsive technical support across Windows and macOS environments, managing service tickets, and contributing to ongoing improvements in how we support a hybrid workforce.

This is a hybrid position with an expectation of working onsite three days per week.

What You’ll Do

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption for end users
  • Manage the Service Desk ticketing and change management systems with accuracy and consistency
  • Maintain and improve documentation in the internal Knowledge Base
  • Support system maintenance, upgrades, and project deployments
  • Collaborate across departments to understand support needs and align priorities
  • Provide responsive support in both remote and on-site environments
  • Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule, as needed
  • Conduct regular security log reviews and support vulnerability remediation
  • Stay organized while juggling multiple priorities and owning key support initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years of hands-on IT support experience, ideally in a fast-paced or high-growth environment
  • Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across hardware, software, and networking
  • Strong experience supporting both Windows and macOS environments
  • Deep familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365 administration
  • Experience with Intune/Endpoint Manager and device compliance policies
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
  • Experience with endpoint protection tools, DLP systems, and basic firewall configurations
  • Comfort deploying and imaging workstations, managing wireless networks, and maintaining a secure IT infrastructure
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-service orientation and a solutions-focused mindset
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload independently, while also collaborating effectively in a hybrid team environment

Compensation

The targeted base salary range for candidates in the Fort Worth, TX area is $70,000 to $80,000, aligned with senior-level IT support roles. Compensation may also include performance bonuses and is based on experience, skills, and internal equity.


The actual salary offered will depend on several factors, including experience, specialized skills, internal equity, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, total compensation may include bonuses or, for sales roles, commission-based earnings, depending on the role and eligibility.
