About the role

Are you a bold, results-driven trailblazer ready to own the sales cycle and dominate new business development? Buxton is seeking a high-performing Account Executive to drive growth by prospecting, pitching, and closing deals with retail brands. Our proven, turnkey software helps businesses optimize performance and expand with precision.


This role is for competitive, entrepreneurial hunters who thrive on building their own book of business while leveraging support from our marketing and BDR teams. Where you'll work

This is a fully remote role, offering flexibility to work from home. While remote, Buxton maintains an open-door policy at our headquarters in Fort Worth, TX, and our secondary location in Boca Raton, FL. These offices are available for employees who enjoy in-office collaboration or prefer a hybrid work environment. Occasional travel to the Fort Worth office may be required for key team events or meetings.

What you'll do

  • Own the Full Sales Cycle – Prospect, qualify, pitch, and close new business opportunities across key retail and restaurant verticals.
  • New Business Development – Leverage a mix of cold outreach, networking, and inbound leads to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
  • Exceed Expectations – Consistently hit or exceed sales activity metrics, including calls, meetings, demos, and revenue quotas.
  • Collaborate to Win – Work closely with marketing and BDR teams to maximize lead generation efforts and refine messaging strategies.
  • Client-First Focus – Build and maintain strong relationships by delivering insights, personalized solutions, and exceptional service.

Requirements

  • Proven Hunter: 2+ years of experience in a high-performance, full-cycle sales role, preferably in SaaS, business intelligence, or analytics solutions. You thrive in identifying and closing net-new business.
  • Track Record of Success: Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue targets and KPIs in a business-to-business environment.
  • Trailblazer Mindset: You’re a self-starter who takes initiative, embraces challenges, and isn’t afraid to pave your own path to success.
  • Strong Communicator: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a talent for crafting compelling pitches and presentations.
  • Industry Insight: Familiarity with retail, healthcare, restaurant, or multi-location businesses is a plus.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM tools (Salesforce preferred), prospecting platforms, and other sales enablement technologies.
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Preferred but not required; experience and results matter most.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, as we are dedicated to providing a safe and secure work environment for all Buxton stakeholders.

Compensation

The On Target Earnings (OTE) range for candidates located in the U.S. is $150,000 - $170,000. This package includes a competitive base salary plus commission potential.

 

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to experience, specialized skills, internal alignment and a candidate’s home base. Depending on the position offered, other forms of compensation in addition to base pay may be provided as part of a total compensation package, including eligibility to participate in a bonus plan.
