Our finance team is seeking a strategic and hands-on Controller to play a key leadership role in scaling our financial operations. This is a high-impact opportunity to drive financial excellence across a cutting-edge technology platform trusted by over 2,000 clients globally. The Controller works closely with our CFO, executive team, and board partners, gaining visibility at the highest levels of the organization.

What you’ll do

You’ll report to the Chief Financial Officer and oversee all corporate accounting and financial reporting functions. Your role will include both strategic oversight and hands-on execution, with a heavy focus on internal controls, process improvement, and supporting scalable growth.

Financial Operations

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process for the consolidated organization.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements across all entities.
  • Lead internal audits and coordinate external financial and tax audits.
  • Manage and refine internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity.

Strategic Financial Management

  • Build and maintain scalable financial systems, with a focus on automation and NetSuite optimization.
  • Provide proactive, data-driven insights into financial performance, identifying trends and driving continuous improvement.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, partnering with department heads across the company.
  • Prepare board-level and investor reports, including presentations for our private equity sponsors.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth.
  • Provide clarity and structure to help elevate team performance and align individual contributions with business objectives.
  • Serve as a key financial partner to executive and department leaders, guiding strategy through accurate and timely financial insight.
  • Lead post-acquisition integration of new businesses, including systems, reporting processes, and controls.
  • Champion the use of technology and data to enhance decision-making and optimize financial operations.

Who you are

You’re a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who can operate at both 10,000 feet and in the financial trenches. You thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial settings and are motivated by the opportunity to create scalable systems and processes from the ground up. You bring clarity, structure, and strong people leadership to a team undergoing change and transformation.

Must haves

  • 7–10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
  • 3+ years in a Controller or similar leadership role within a SaaS or tech-enabled services company
  • Proven track record in private equity-backed businesses, including M&A and post-merger integration
  • Strong NetSuite (or similar ERP) expertise and experience leading financial systems transformations
  • Deep understanding of recurring revenue and SaaS business models
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong executive presence
  • Exceptional skills in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling

Nice to haves

✔ CPA license and/or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting
✔ Experience in capital raising or debt financing diligence
✔ Demonstrated ability to manage commission calculations and accrual processes
✔ Knowledge of multi-state tax filings and experience coordinating with external tax advisors

Compensation

Compensation will vary depending on factors including but not limited to experience, specialized skills, internal alignment and a candidate’s home base. Depending on the position offered, other forms of compensation in addition to base pay may be provided as part of a total compensation package, including eligibility to participate in a bonus plan.
