About Cache

Cache DNA is on a mission to store the biomolecules of today to unlock the possibilities of tomorrow. The path toward a cure begins with high-quality biospecimens. As technologies for analysis continue to evolve, infrastructure used for handling samples—such as freezers—remains largely unchanged.

Our vision is to create a scalable, sustainable, and standardized platform for reliable ambient biomolecule storage and access by combining chemistry, biology, automation, and computational tools. We see challenges in the way researchers in the life sciences are capturing, utilizing, and exchanging these precious samples and accompanying data over time.

In the next phase of our company’s growth, we seek to deploy the powerful platform we’ve built to realize the full potential of biomolecule storage and access for research, diagnostics, and therapeutics. We are looking for a creative visionary to help us execute across the multi-omics spectrum (for stabilizing nucleic acids, proteins, etc.) and help our interdisciplinary team deliver from the discovery and prototype phase to enduring solutions and infrastructure. Following the recent award of our NSF SBIR Phase II grant, enabling groundbreaking materials like T-REX, we are looking to bring a talented individual on board to accelerate several mission-critical programs.

Job Description

  • 5+ years as a manager, mentor, and enabler
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including effectively communicating complex scientific concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in chemistry or a related field
  • Domain expert in polymer chemistries
  • Experience driving IP strategy and drafting patent applications
  • Experience working in assay development and regulated laboratory environments (e.g. GLP, CLIA-equivalent, CAP, ISO, GMP, etc)
  • Experience working with and developing lab automation solutions
  • Proficiency using Python, R, or other programming languages for data analysis

This might be a good fit for you if you...

  • Are hoping to join the leadership of an early-stage deeptech company
  • Are passionate about learning and trying new technologies at the intersection of biology, chemistry, and computer science
  • Have a keen eye for detail and like to build
  • Like working with small teams
  • You operate with urgency, precision, and a deep sense of mission—because you know the impact of your work will echo for decades.
