RP Foods is a leading branded, private label, and B2B Hispanic food and beverage products company selling to retail and CPG food customers across the United States and internationally. The Company’s product lines include Kuii coconut milk beverages, Masabrosa corn masa flour, tostadas, and cookies.
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing account reconciliations, processing daily customer deposits, and handling inventory transactions. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
Key Responsibilities
· Account Reconciliations: Perform monthly account reconciliations, including reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
· Customer Deposit Processing: Process daily customer deposits, ensuring accurate allocation of payments and proper documentation. Monitor and resolve discrepancies related to customer payments.
· Accounts Receivable: Manage accounts receivable in coordination with the Accounting Manager and Sales team. Lead weekly collection meetings and follow-up on all past-due balances. Work with external collection team if necessary.
· Inventory Transaction Processing: Manage inventory-related transactions, ensuring that inventory records are accurate and up-to-date. Work closely with the operations team to ensure proper costing and tracking of inventory movements.
· Process Improvement: Make recommendations and execute on various process improvement initiatives as it relates to the accounting function.
· Other general accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills:
· Bachelors Degree or Licenciatura in Accounting required.
· 2-5+ years of experience in Accounting
· ERP experience (NetSuite HIGHLY preferred)
· Bilingual Required (English/Spanish)
