We are seeking a candidate who has the following qualities:
- Knowledge of and/or deep interest in natural health and wellness, and specifically looking for candidates that have a strong background in Supplements and/or Body Care

- Computer-savvy. Competence with point of sale software is a plus.

Specific responsibilities and activities are subject to change as the needs of the position and business evolve. Weekend and evening availability is a must.
This position pays $16.50 - $18/hr starting wage. All positions receive generous employee discounts on purchases along with other perks. Full Time employees are eligible for medical and dental insurance coverage and PTO after one year.
Responsibilities/Activities
Customer Service Specialist
- Perform Excellent Customer Service
- Ensure that every customer is consistently provided with an excellent experience (friendly, positive, approachable and helpful attitude and demeanor) and that they find the products they are looking for, or an alternative(s) they might consider.
- Maintain awareness of customers on the floor. Greet and check in with customers to see if they need help.
- Learn each section of the store floor in order to be able to direct customers to the right area to find what they’re looking for, by walking them to the product and answering any questions they may have.
- Whenever necessary, locate another staff person with deeper knowledge to help answer any questions
- Listen to customers and actively promote our products to meet the customer’s particular needs.
- Create a lasting impression of warmth, kindness and welcome that ensures our customers return to shop with us.
- Merchandising products throughout the store as needed including:
- Front and face systematically through each section as directed by the manager-on-duty.
- Clean shelves with appropriate cleaning products when necessary.
- Execute end caps as directed by the merchandising team
- Creating unique product displays around the store as directed, including at registers and in windows.
- Receiving products
- Accurately placing all products from carts/boxes onto store shelves for sale
- Pricing products accurately, double checking in ECRS (inventory system)
- Perform cleaning closing staff duties as scheduled/needed.
- Take out trash and recycling
- Sweep and clean sales floor after close
- Handle and sanitize bulk herbs scoops
- Ensure store is neat and organized before leaving for the night
- Help front and face shelves for the morning
- Proactively communicate with the Shift Lead to ensure daily tasks are completed.
- Actively work with other staff to complete tasks, promoting a positive and team oriented work environment.
- Ensure that all sections of the store appear neat, clean and organized.
- Provide register (point-of-sale) coverage, handle register transactions with accuracy and maintain a clean and organized register area.
Other Miscellaneous Activities
- Cleaning shelves, desks, bathrooms, register area, etc
- Lifting & opening boxes up to 30 lbs.
- Attending trainings, workshops, trade-shows, staff meetings as needed
- Following trends through trade journals, news articles and more industry info as provided
- Responding to emails in a timely fashion; ensuring that all communications are efficient and organized.
- Taking out recycling and trash throughout the day if needed
- Attending to scheduled closing duties if applicable
- Providing floor & section coverage
- Ringing customers at the register, providing register 2/3 coverage
