Billing & Special Projects Accountant (Part-Time)

As a Part-Time Billing & Special Projects Accountant at Campspot, you’ll play a focused role in supporting the company’s billing operations and contributing to key accounting initiatives. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance & Governance, you’ll own the invoicing and accounts receivable process while lending your expertise to special projects that drive efficiency and accuracy across the finance team.


Key Responsibilities:

Billing & Accounts Receivable

  • Prepare and send customer invoices accurately and on time.
  • Monitor AR balances and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Assist with payment applications and generate AR aging reports.
  • Reconcile Accounts Receivable related general ledger accounts during the month-end close.
  • Process and record credit memos and billing adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all customer billing activity.

Special Projects

  • Participate in accounting projects related to tax filings, audits, and automation of processes.
  • Identify and support opportunities to improve current accounting tools and workflows.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures as they relate to billing and revenue.
  • Document and update all billing and Accounts Receivable policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment.
  • Strong knowledge of AR and general billing processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Position Details:

This is a part-time position. Hours are flexible, but concentrated at the beginning of each month. Hours will be determined based on business needs and candidate availability, likely averaging around 25/week. Pay for this role is anticipated to start at $25-$35/hour.


This position is remote, however we are only able to consider candidates in the following states: CO, IL, MA, MI, NH, NY, NC, OR, TX, UT, VT, and VA. Candidates located outside of the locations listed are not able to be considered at this time.
