Manager, Payments and Partnerships

As Manager, Payments and Partnerships you will serve as internal subject matter expert for our integrated payments offering and manage the day-to-day relationship with our account management teams at our payment processing partners as well as provide support to internal Campspot stakeholders, including Market Managers, Customer Support, Implementation, and Merchant Services Sales.  Our software is integrated with leading merchant services providers to enable our campgrounds the ability to process payments within the platform and this role will drive improvements in customer satisfaction with and Campspot monetization of our integrated payments offering.  Additionally, this role will manage and help grow our non-payments related third party partnerships, including our Weather Guarantee offering and referral relationships with our relevant industry partners.  


Responsibilities:

Integrated Payments
  • Own day to day relationship with account management teams at third party payment processing partners on behalf of Campspot
  • Manage support and account management customer escalations with payment partners; develop improved processes for tracking and driving resolution of common payment processing related issues, including: 
    • Risk review tracking & monitoring
    • Bank account changes
    • ACH Rejects / funding holds
    • Terminal/Device issues
    • Rate review requests 
    • Chargeback questions
    • PCI compliance questions 
  • Identify process improvements with payment partners and internal stakeholders to improve customer satisfaction 
    • Develop improved internal (Confluence) and external (Campspot Knowledge Base) content related to our integrated payments offering
    • Lead internal trainings on best practices related to our integrated payments offerings
  • Identify additional monetization opportunities with payment partners, including building cases for the marketing and selling of value-added services offered by our payments partners to our customers (e.g. network tokens, lines of credit, etc.)
  • Serve as project manager for the onboarding of additional integrated payments partners in coordination with Campspot Product and Customer Experience teams as well as our third party partners
Partnerships 
  • Own day to day relationship with account management teams at existing third party partners, including Sensible Weather (our Weather Guarantee partner)
  • Implement strategies to grow Campspot customer adoption of third party partnership offerings (e.g. Sensible Weather product)
  • Provide operational support for management of third party partner programs
    • Responsible for administration of Campspot’s Accelerator product for campground owners and operators
    • Referral partner tracking
    • Monthly Campspot Marketplace Affiliate partner commission approvals
  • Support contracting and project management for onboarding new third party partnerships


Key Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of related experience, preferably in payments operations, project management, or partnerships
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Adaptable with a willingness to learn and extend skills into new areas
  • Detail oriented and analytical with strong problem solving skills; strong business acumen
  • Self-motivated with an an ability to work in a fast paced team environment; demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and projects at once
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Hubspot experience preferred
  • Payments and/or fintech experience preferred
  • Understanding of payments industry terms, processes, and customer pain points within an B2B SaaS environment preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base salary: $80k-$100k annually

While Campspot is a remote-first company, priority will be given to candidates located near our Grand Rapids, MI headquarters or in our Denver, CO and Chicago, IL metro area hubs. Secondary consideration will be given to candidates who reside in states where we currently have employees, including CO, IA, IL, ME, MA, MI, NY, NC, OR, SC, TX, UT, VT, and VA. Candidates located outside of the US or any of the states listed previously are not able to be considered at this time.
