We are seeking an experienced Contract DevOps Engineer to support and evolve our cloud infrastructure and deployment platforms. This role spans AWS-based infrastructure, Kubernetes, Terraform modules, CI/CD, and observability, working across multiple types of infrastructure and services.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Support and improve containerized and non-containerized workloads
• Operate and maintain Kubernetes (EKS) clusters alongside other infrastructure components
• Build and maintain reusable Terraform modules and develop Infrastructure as Code standards
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for applications and infrastructure
• Implement and enhance observability (metrics, logs, traces, alerting) across systems
• Improve reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency of cloud platforms
• Partner with application and data teams to enable efficient delivery workflows
• Apply security best practices (IAM, secrets management, RBAC, least privilege)
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, application, and performance issues
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational standards

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of DevOps / Cloud Engineering experience
• Strong experience with AWS (EC2, EKS, IAM, VPC, ALB/NLB, S3, RDS, etc.)
• Experience operating Kubernetes in production
• Strong Terraform experience, including creating and maintaining reusable modules
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience implementing observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry)
• Solid Linux, networking, and Docker fundamentals

Nice to Have

• Experience with Helm
• Familiarity with SRE practices (SLIs/SLOs, alerting strategies)
• Experience with data streaming platforms (Kafka, MSK, Kinesis)
• Experience with data migration and large-scale data movement (DMS, CDC, database migrations)
• Experience supporting hybrid or multi-platform infrastructure environments
• Security, compliance, or cost-optimization experience

The hourly rate for this position is starting at $25 USD. Final rate is based on candidate experience and skill level.
