Why this job is exciting

The role:

Reporting directly to the Inside Sales Manager, the Inside Sales Representative will be a proactive hunter — identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective customers to build a healthy pipeline for our Account Executive team. While you'll handle inbound leads as they come in, the heart of this role is outbound: researching target accounts, crafting compelling outreach, and confidently picking up the phone to start conversations with prospects who don't yet know they need Capacity.

This is an ideal role for someone early in their sales career who thrives on creating opportunities from scratch and is genuinely excited about the AI and SaaS space.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify and engage potential customers through strategic outbound efforts including cold calling, research, networking, and marketing-supported campaigns. Leverage marketing-generated content and tools to enhance outreach.
  • Inbound Lead Engagement & Qualification: Act as the first point of contact for inbound leads generated through marketing initiatives (webinars, guides, website forms, etc.). Conduct discovery calls to assess fit, build interest, and advance prospects through the funnel.
  • Lead Nurturing & Pipeline Management: Qualify leads through thoughtful discovery and needs analysis. Manage and prioritize both inbound and outbound leads, ensuring timely follow-up and consistent movement through the sales funnel.
  • Collaboration with Sales & Marketing: Partner with Marketing to align on campaign messaging, target segments, and performance feedback. Work closely with Account Executives to ensure smooth handoffs of qualified opportunities and share insights that inform ongoing go-to-market strategies.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and grow relationships with prospects by understanding their pain points and objectives. Share tailored insights, product knowledge, and use cases to build trust and long-term interest.

What you'll bring:

  • Communication & Relationship Building: Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage audiences at all levels and build rapport with both prospects and internal teams.
  • Prospecting & Lead Generation: A natural self-starter with a proven ability to identify potential clients and convert them into qualified opportunities — you don't wait for leads to come to you.
  • Resilience & Adaptability: Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment, with experience overcoming obstacles and using creative outreach strategies to drive engagement. You see rejection as part of the process, not the end of it.
  • AI Curiosity: A genuine enthusiasm for AI tools and technology — you're already experimenting with things like Claude, Replit, and Gemini and get excited about what they can do.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on persuasive and clear presentation abilities
  • Proficient in CRM software and Google Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and foster a team-oriented environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Familiarity with sales engagement platforms (Salesforce, Outreach, Apollo, etc.) is a plus

You are motivated by:

  • Hustle: You inspire others to work as hard as you. You will find a way, no matter how hard the task is.
  • Ownership: You have an owner/builder mentality. You care about what you deliver and own your mistakes.
  • Proactivity: You don’t wait for someone to tell you what to do or what problems to solve. You are always looking for ways to learn and improve.
  • Excellence: You set a high bar and surpass expectations.  You hit your goals and ask for more.
  • Humility: You are not above any task in the organization and are willing to drop what you’re doing to help a teammate.
