Why this job is exciting
The role:
Reporting directly to the Director of Sales Engineering, the Sales Engineer will be the technical expert and trusted advisor to our sales team and customers during the pre-sales process, working closely with them to understand their technical requirements and pain points. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with experience in pre-sales engineering, solution architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Consultations: Provide expert advice and insights to potential and existing customers about the technical aspects and value proposition of the Capacity products.
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct detailed product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features, benefits, and capabilities of the product to prospective clients.
- Solution Design: Work closely with prospective customers to understand their needs and design tailored solutions that meet their technical requirements and business goals.
- Pre-Sales Support: Assist the sales team by providing technical support during the sales process, including answering technical queries, preparing technical proposals, and developing technical content for sales presentations.
- Requirement Analysis: Gather and analyze customer business requirements and translate them into technical specifications to ensure that the product or service meets their needs.
- Feedback Collection: Gather customer feedback on product performance and functionality to identify areas for improvement and relay this information to the product development team.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to better position the company's products and provide valuable insights to the sales team.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams, to ensure successful product adoption and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Familiar with AI systems/bots/automation, CCaaS, UCaaS experience preferred
- Tech savvy & interested in diving in to understand the technical aspects of all product functionality
- A good story teller. You should be able to tell a story around the customer’s use cases, while highlighting the technical solution that solves their problem.
- Strong networking and relationship building skills
- Curiosity, ability to listen, desire to learn
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and mentality
- Coachable, flexible, and self-motivated
- Diligent self-starter; someone with initiative
- Strong organization and follow-up skills
- Resilient, doesn’t give up easily
- Experience with Salesforce, NICE CXone, Genesys Cloud, Five9, RingCentral a plus.

Salary range:
- The expected base salary for the Sales Engineer role is between $100,000 and $130,000; in addition, the role includes a commission plan to calculate the on-target earnings (OTE).
