About the role

Capitol Advisors on Technology is currently in search of a Records Management Specialist 2 (RMS 2) to support our current and future clients. This is an onsite position and requires a thorough knowledge of an office's work and routine to 1) provide technical support for records management programs, dockets, or other information services, and 2) select steps necessary to complete assignments using established SOPs. The Records Management Specialist Level II position is responsible for producing quality work, meeting due dates for deliverables, and maintaining effective client relations.

What you'll do

The  RMS 2 responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Administering/processing paper records management systems to include data entry, scanning, indexing, records maintenance, filing, and transfers
  • Assisting with electronic records management projects as directed by the PM or Records Management Analyst 3
  • Assisting with conducting paper records file inventories
  • Reporting technical problems to either PM or Records Management Analyst 3
  • Processing records in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
  • Supporting the development of response inquiries, collection maintenance and retrieval tasks, metadata review, and input using automated information systems

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have:
  • The ideal candidate must hold an active Public Trust or higher Federal security clearance.
  • Have a high school diploma and one (1) year of records management experience.
  • Be experienced with at least one automated information system and/or records or docket management.
  • Possess excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
  • Have proficiency in using technology, specifically with Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite
