Data Delivery Analyst

Position Summary
The Data Delivery Analyst is a highly organized, analytical professional responsible for bridging the gap between high-level data strategy and tactical execution. Reporting to the Lead Data Strategist, this role serves as the functional owner for defining features and tracking the development of the feature. Following established product development practices, this role acts as the essential translation layer for the UPD initiative. The Data Delivery Analyst takes the strategy set by leadership and breaks it down into well-defined features, epics, and business requirements. They partner seamlessly with dedicated Business Analysts (BAs), who are responsible for writing the granular user stories, to ensure that the Data teams have a clear, prioritized pipeline of work.


The Data Delivery Analyst is a full-time, remote, exempt position and will report to the Lead Data Strategist.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Translate the overarching enterprise strategy into tactical, executable data features and epics.
  • Serve as the primary functional lead for the Data Integration and Data Quality pods, ensuring teams understand the business value, context, and requirements of the data they are building.
  • Define and document the core business rules, data mapping requirements, and acceptance criteria specifically required for features.
  • Partner with dedicated Business Analysts (BAs) in a structured handoff, providing clear feature definitions and reviewing the resulting user stories to ensure technical execution matches the strategic intent.
  • Manage and prioritize the feature backlog exclusively for the Data Integration and Data Quality pods, adjusting priorities based on business needs and technical blockers.
  • Document comprehensive data requirements, including integration logic, profiling needs, monitoring rules, and quality remediation to ensure assets meet enterprise standards.
  • Act as the day-to-day liaison between the Lead Data Strategist and the execution pods, answering functional questions to keep data integration and quality efforts unblocked.
  • Participate in Agile execution ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, backlog refinement) to represent the business intent and validate that developed solutions meet the defined requirements.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and logical thinking, with a proven ability to break down complex data strategies into functional features and epics.
  • Excellent written communication skills, specifically in writing clear business requirements and feature definitions for technical data initiatives.
  • Fundamental data literacy, including a basic understanding of data integration pipelines, data modeling concepts, and data quality principles.
  • Highly organized and process-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a clean, well-documented feature backlog.
  • Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to provide clear direction to BAs and work seamlessly alongside Data Engineers and Data Quality specialists.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, ADO) used for tracking technical delivery.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn about healthcare data structures, specifically provider data, administrative workflows, and data governance standards.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, business reporting, or BI.
  • Demonstrated success in building executive or operational dashboards.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience defining features, gathering requirements, or managing backlogs for software or data engineering teams.
  • Experience collaborating with Business Analysts or writing requirements that feed into technical user stories.
  • Exposure to the healthcare industry, particularly provider data, data integration, or data quality initiatives, is a strong plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

The pay range for this role is:

75,000 - 90,000 USD per year (Remote (United States))
