Senior Data Analyst

Position Summary
The Senior Data Analyst delivers business-critical insights through analysis, visualization, and reporting of structured data. This role supports multiple departments by producing dashboards, ad-hoc analyses, and recurring performance reports. The Senior Analyst ensures that data is transformed into clear, actionable insights that support strategic and operational decisions. This role emphasizes reporting automation, metric consistency, and proactive identification of trends or issues.


This is a full-time, exempt, remote position reporting to the Manager, Data and Analytics.


Specific Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze key business processes and KPIs to identify performance trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and scorecards in Power BI or Tableau to monitor department-level and enterprise KPIs.
  • Work with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver clear, business-ready outputs.


Data Interpretation & Storytelling

  • Transform data into easily digestible narratives, reports, and visualizations for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Support leadership in making informed decisions based on data trends, historical context, and predictive indicators.
  • Perform root cause analysis to explain unexpected performance changes.


Process Optimization & QA

  • Automate recurring reporting workflows using SQL, data transformations, and BI tools.
  • Validate report data through systematic testing, reconciliation, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to troubleshoot issues and refine data pipelines.


Skills

  • Advanced Excel and SQL skills for querying, cleaning, and analyzing data.
  • Proficiency in Power BI or Tableau for dashboard development and visual storytelling.
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills to translate data into insights.
  • Familiarity with performance metrics, operational reporting, and data validation practices.


Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, business reporting, or BI.
  • Demonstrated success in building executive or operational dashboards.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
  • Certifications in Power BI, Tableau, or SQL preferred.

The pay range for this role is:

110,000 - 130,000 USD per year (Remote (United States))
