Job Overview 

Harver is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Temporary Staff Accountant for a 4 to 5-month contract to join our high-performing team. They will work with the Finance team to assist with daily and monthly cash and bank reporting activities and support disparate, global month-end close functions including monthly and quarterly P&L and BS variance and trend analysis. This role also supports various accounting systems implementations to enhance operations and streamline processes for a global organization. The ideal candidate is responsive, thoughtful, self-directed, positive and seeking a challenging role. 


Responsibilities and Qualifications 

In this role you get to: 

  • Provide audit support for statutory audits in the United States, coordinating with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and timely completion. 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, laws, and regulations. 
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including preparation and analysis of Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet (BS) variance and trend reports. 
  • Prepare and deliver ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as requested. 
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, supporting diverse accounting and finance functions. 
  • Assist with monthly US sales tax returns and foreign VAT returns preparation and filing. 
  • While not a required responsibility, contributing to streamlining workflows and enhancing operational efficiency through automation and best practices would be highly advantageous and naturally align with the evolving needs of our global finance organization.  

We’re looking for people who demonstrate the following competencies: Communicating Effectively, Delivering Results, Influencing, Making Sound Decisions, Relationship Management, Resilience, Work Organization. Additionally, we need: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar specialty required.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of accounting experience, ideally within a corporate or global finance environment. 
  • Familiarity with monthly US sales tax returns and foreign VAT returns. 
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 
  • Comfortable working with diverse teams in multiple locations.
  • Strong Excel skills (intermediate to advanced), including data analysis and reporting. 
  • Experience supporting statutory audits in the United States. 
  • Proficiency with complex global balance sheet reconciliations.
