Job Overview:

We are seeking a Mid-Level Staff Accountant to support our day-to-day accounting operations, with a strong focus on international transactions and compliance. This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely month-end closes, and proper tax handling across multiple jurisdictions.

This is an Independent Contractor role

In this role you get to: 

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations for multi-currency accounts (USD, EUR, GBP)

●      Prepare and file US Sales Tax returns in accordance with applicable regulations

●      Manage and process VAT filings across relevant European countries

●      Complete accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations

●      Support month-end close activities and ensure deadlines are met

●      Assist with audits and maintain supporting documentation for financial records

●      Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy and completeness

We’re looking for people who have:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

●      3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an international setting

●      Solid understanding of US Sales Tax and European VAT regulations

• Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition

●      Proficient in reconciliations, month-end closing processes, and financial reporting

●      Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP)

●      Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently

●      Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a global team

Nice to Have:

●      CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification

●      Previous experience in a SaaS or tech company

●      Familiarity with multi-entity and multi-currency accounting environments
