Vice President - Corporate Controller

Reports to: CFO

Location: Malvern, PA


Neuronetics is seeking an accomplished and strategic financial leader to serve as our Vice President, Corporate Controller who will lead the accounting and financial operations for the entire organization, including both the legacy NeuroStar business and the recently acquired Greenbrook business. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring compliance, driving integration, and partnering with senior leadership to support forward-looking strategies.

Key Role Responsibilities:

Systems Integration and Organizational Leadership (Critical Focus)

  • Systems Integration: Lead the complex project of integrating the two legacy NetSuite ERP instances into a single, optimized environment and ensure ongoing system maintenance and integrity.
  • Organizational Integration: Oversee the integration of Greenbrook accounting team and processes into a unified Neuronetics organizational and procedural structure.
  • Leadership & Development: Lead, manage, recruit, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering continuous learning. Ensure adequacy of the company's risk management and insurance programs.

Accounting, Compliance & Controls

  • Financial Reporting & SEC Compliance: Oversee the accurate and timely consolidated close process, leading all required SEC reporting (10-Q, 10-K, 8-Ks, proxy).
  • SOX 404: Ensure continued compliance with GAAP, SEC, and SOX 404 requirements. Oversee relationships with independent auditors and present quarterly updates to the Audit Committee.
  • Policy & Controls: Develop and maintain financial control processes across all key operational areas: Purchasing, Revenue Recognition, Inventory, Credit/Collections, and HR-partnered Compensation (including share-based).
  • Global Tax & Treasury: Manage tax compliance and reporting for U.S. and international operations (Canada experience preferred). Lead the treasury function, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and foreign currency risk mitigation.

Strategic Partnership & FP&A Alignment

  • Strategic Insight: Must be well-versed in FP&A. Partner with the CFO and Sr. Director of FP&A to lead planning/budgeting, develop performance metrics, provide strategic forward-looking insights (forecasts/scenario planning), and present results to executive management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required (significant coursework in economics, accounting, or business preferred).
  • Certification: CPA or CA strongly preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with significant time spent in a leadership capacity.
  • Industry Preference: Experience in Big Four, life science, or emerging growth environments strongly desired.
  • Systems: Strong knowledge of financial and ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a significant plus. Strongly Preferred Experience: Proven success leading post-acquisition systems integration.
  • Technical Expertise: Expert knowledge of GAAP, SEC guidelines, financial disclosure requirements, and a solid background in SOX 404 compliance.

Benefits Statement: Selected candidate will be eligible to participate in the Company’s employee benefit plans, which currently include: health insurance; dental insurance; vision insurance; optional supplemental medical insurance; health savings and flexible spending accounts; company-paid life insurance and additional voluntary life insurance; company-paid short term disability and long term disability insurance; participation in a 401(k) savings and investment plan with company contribution; and paid time off for non-exempt salaried employees is calculated as .625 per pay period worked for vacation time and .29166 per pay period for personal time. Full-time exempt employees will be eligible for Flex-PTO, which allows time off without accrual. If applicable and required under state law, the successful candidate will also be eligible for paid sick leave. These benefits are subject to plan terms, company policies and are subject to change.
