Junior Promotions Strategist (Promo Management)

OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a Strategist, Promotions to join our rapidly growing Revenue team.

  • As a Promotions Strategist, you will be exposed to all facets of the business and be encouraged to learn and develop skills both within and beyond your role. You'll be working surrounded by passionate, high-performing individuals. This role is responsible for designing, executing, and optimizing Amazon promotions at the account level — ensuring they are strategic, profitable, and fully integrated with advertising and client objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a CSM (Customer Success Manager)
  • Experience managing Amazon PPC campaigns
  • Strong understanding of the Amazon ecosystem (Seller Central / Vendor Central fundamentals)
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and translate it into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Strong attention to detail and execution accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and accounts simultaneously
  • Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • English proficiency required — must be able to speak and write in the language fluently


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with Amazon promotion types (Coupons, Deals, Price Discounts, etc.)
  • Track record of using data to craft narratives and drive decision-making
  • Experience creating reports, presentations, and other client-facing deliverables
  • Intellectual curiosity, with a strong desire to learn and experiment in a rapidly changing industry
  • Experience in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Background in e-commerce or product-focused advertising


WHAT YOU’LL DO:

This role will support our Promotions product, contribute to thought leadership, define best practices, and drive implementation of new processes for internal and external workflows. In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, you will assist in training team members and influence the development of the promotions practice.

Promotion Strategy & Planning

  • Conduct account and promotion audits to identify opportunities and risks
  • Develop promo strategies aligned with client objectives, profitability considerations, and inventory position
  • Select appropriate promotion types and define timing, duration, and discount depth
  • Build and maintain promo calendars in coordination with CSMs

Execution & Launch

  • Set up promotions within Amazon's Promotions environment with high accuracy
  • Validate eligibility, pricing, and funding before launch
  • Execute promotions in a timely manner following strategy approval
  • Coordinate promotion-aligned advertising campaigns when applicable

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Monitor live promotions and adjust based on performance
  • Optimize discount depth, product selection, and promo duration
  • Ensure promotions remain aligned with performance and profitability goals

Strategy Delivery

  • Develop and present promo strategies in a clear and structured format
  • Prepare materials (deck or written summary) for internal and client-facing use
  • Support both live client strategy presentations and async approvals via CSM-led communication

Reporting & Insights

  • Provide regular performance updates during active promo periods
  • Deliver post-promo analyses including incremental revenue impact, conversion rate lift, profitability/ROI assessment, and key learnings
  • Ensure insights are clear, actionable, and client-ready

CSM Collaboration & Client Support

  • Partner closely with CSMs to align promo strategies with client priorities
  • Support CSMs with strategy explanations, client-facing materials, and performance insights
  • Join client calls when needed for strategy, results, or complex discussions

Internal Enablement & Knowledge Sharing

  • Contribute to internal training by sharing real account examples and best practices
  • Reinforce Promo Management frameworks in collaboration with CSMs
  • Flag recurring issues, risks, and knowledge gaps to the Supervisor
  • Continually stay up-to-date on industry trends and look for ways to apply new ideas
