The Aerial Lift Mechanic (Electro-Hydraulic) will be based at Tendit’s Windows Division and is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining aerial lift equipment (brands include JLG, Genie, Nifty, and Spider). The role requires advanced knowledge of hydraulics and electronics to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support safe operations.


What You Will Do

 

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on company equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on hydraulic circuits, electrical wiring, pumps, valves, motors, and control systems.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments.
  • Test systems and adjust to meet operational specifications.
  • Maintain accurate service logs, work orders, and repair documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies while performing maintenance and repairs.
  • Support field operations by responding to urgent repair requests to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with the operations and safety team on equipment improvements and reliability initiatives.

What you will need

  • 3+ years of experience as a mechanic or technician with focus on hydraulics and electronics (industrial, automotive, or heavy equipment).
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, and electronic control units.
  • Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, multimeters, and hydraulic testing tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in hydraulics, electronics, or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Compensation for this position is $25.00 - $32.00, depending on experience.
