Upper Crust Food Service began with a vision to solve a problem that many Fraternity and Sorority houses face.  That problem is a lack of consistency and professionalism in the kitchen.  With a focus on great food and personal service, we’ve remained true to our roots. Today, the chefs of Upper Crust Food Service prepare tens of thousands of meals weekly for students across the country.

About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our Operations team on a full-time, hourly basis. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that delicious, high-quality meals are prepared and delivered consistently to our customers. The Line Cook is an essential part of our kitchen operations, collaborating with the team to maintain efficiency, uphold safety standards, and create exceptional dining experiences. What You'll Do

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food preparation meets health and safety guidelines.
  • Assist in maintaining an organized, clean, and efficient kitchen workspace.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and quality service.
  • Support inventory management by tracking supplies and minimizing waste.
  • Consistently monitor food quality and presentation before it reaches the customer.
  • Follow proper food storage protocols and maintain freshness of ingredients.
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to handle high-volume service during peak times.


Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar culinary role.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment, techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Capable of standing for long periods and handling physical demands of kitchen work.
  • Strong attention to detail and dedication to producing high-quality meals.
  • Flexibility with work schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Food handler certification or equivalent (preferred but not required).
  • Proficient in understanding and following English instructions and recipes.
