The Utility/Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. You’ll wash dishes, clean equipment, assist with basic prep tasks, and support the kitchen team in daily operations. This role is perfect for someone who thrives behind the scenes and values consistency, teamwork, and a positive attitude.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, surfaces, and trash areas
  • Assist with basic food prep and kitchen organization as needed
  • Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and used safely
  • Follow sanitation and food safety standards per state and local regulations
  • Support kitchen staff during meal service and special events
  • Communicate regularly with Head Chef and management
  • Uphold a professional and positive attitude at all times

Preferred Education and Experience: 

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role is a plus
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices preferred


Special Demands: 

  • The work environment can be loud and busy. There are many kitchen hazards such as hot surfaces and liquids, sharp knives, and slippery floors.
  • Capability to work in a kitchen environment that may involve exposure to extreme heat or cold.
  • Required to stand for long periods, up to 8+ hours, as well as walk, bend and stoop.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals
