Upper Crust Food Service began with a vision to solve a problem that many Fraternity and Sorority houses face.  That problem is a lack of consistency and professionalism in the kitchen.  With a focus on great food and personal service, we’ve remained true to our roots. Today, the chefs of Upper Crust Food Service prepare tens of thousands of meals weekly for students across the country.

About The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Utility team member to join our Operations department. In this full-time, hourly position, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen while supporting the team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This role requires a team player who is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a positive work environment.


What You'll Do

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
  • Ensure all kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment are regularly cleaned and sanitized to meet health and safety standards.
  • Assist with receiving and organizing kitchen deliveries, ensuring proper storage of inventory.
  • Dispose of trash and recycling appropriately, maintaining a clean and clutter-free workspace.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to provide support where needed, including basic food preparation tasks.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures relating to safety, hygiene, and operational excellence.
  • Quickly respond to additional cleaning or utility demands during busy periods.


Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety practices.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and carrying heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a plus but not required.
  • Proficiency in English to follow instructions and workplace communication effectively.
